Joel Coleman

Joel Coleman is at the forefront of ocean photography. At age 14, Joel was photographing sports carnivals for his school magazine and, by age 17, he was photographing professionally on weekends around school hours.

Working as a dive instructor in his 20’s allowed Joel to experiment and later master, under water photography which now makes up a large part of his key collection of images.

Ultimately though, Joel Coleman is a surfer. Joel’s affinity with the water is evident in his images, which are so life-like, those who already own his artworks find that they’ve literally brought the ocean views indoors. These highly emotive images are breathtaking and Joel’s talent of capturing scenes that the human eye can not see is quickly becoming a signature style of his.
