Comments Policy
We want you to feel free to share your insights, opinions, advice and your two cents worth as part of our Comments pages. To ensure everyone can happily contribute, we ask that you respect some simple guidelines.
1. Use your real name or nick name.
2. Keep it clean.
Please use polite language at all times. Harsh, foul, demeaning, racist or sexist language, abuse and attacks are not acceptable.
3. Irrelevant links are not permitted.
If you leave a comment with a link in it that has no relevance to the post you’re commenting on it will be deleted.
4. Stay on target.
Please do your best to stay on topic. While we appreciate wide-ranging discussions, we’d like to avoid derailed threads.
5. No hawkers.
The saltmotion website is a place to discuss surf, art, photography, surfing, surfers, surfboards, surf etiquette, surf books, you get my drift. It is NOT somewhere to sell your goods and services.
6. I delete spam.
I have spam filters in place which automatically catch the majority of automated spam comments. I don’t put up with it and if any slip through the filters I delete it immediately.
7. Email privacy.
Email addresses used when commenting are not published on the blog, nor shared. They may be used by the administrators to privately contact the commenter, but will never be shared with any other person or organisation.
8. We reserve our rights.
Not to publish comments, to remove comments and to alter comments that do not adhere to our policy.
9. By commenting.
You agree to abide by the terms set out in this comments policy.
If you have any question about whether something is appropriate just ask me.
