Blue water swim

July 18th, 2012

future plans...

A very early 4:45am start this morning to get ready for the dawn session. I must say, I love a boat full of keen surfers! We spent the morning on a left known as ‘Honkeys’ and it was well worth the early start. The swell is hanging in there and the warm water is a perfect wake up call. After breakfast we decided to steam the mother ship a little further south in the island chain to do some diving. Some hit the depths with SCUBA gear and others went for a snorkel in the clear blue water. The fish life is amazing and the colours of the reef incredible. The afternoon saw a few of the non-surfing crew on the boat take to the water for an impromptu surf lesson at a protected break. Three students and a 100% success rate of waves ridden, we had a ton of laughs and it was great to share a little surf stoke with a few people for the first time…
One of the great things about the boat we are on is there is so much to do. With a full time dive instructor at the ready, a surf coach, a virtual warehouse of fishing tackle and a cocktail barman, there are plenty of options to fill the day…

Enjoy your day,
Joel Coleman…
