When the bommie breaks…

June 14th, 2012

S.N. - Charging...

The Queenscliff bommie does not break all that often. It needs a fairly decent sized swell, the right tide and light winds. It’s the kind of spot that you need to keep an eye on and when it starts to show promise, drop everything and go for it. Whenever it does break, a mate of mine is the first one out there. It’s almost like he is obsessed with trying to understand the power and shifty nature of the wave. When I spotted a few black dots paddling out to have a look this morning, I knew Stu would be one of them. I sat patiently with the camera and waited until he stroked into a good set wave and charged a beautiful left, his mate screaming him down the line. Sorry today’s update is a little later than normal, let’s just say I couldn’t let Stu have all the fun…

Enjoy your day,
Joel Coleman…
