helicopters at dawn…

golden bower mist...

Late yesterday afternoon I was checking the weather forecast and spotted a window that looked promising for a few aerial photographs. I have wanted to photograph a sunrise from the air for sometime and was damn excited to finally have the opportunity. When you are relying on the weather there is always a large element of luck. This morning it all came together and the ocean gods even threw in a decent sized swell with a light sea-mist to catch the colour of the sun.
There are a lot of photographs from this morning, I suspect I will be spending the rest of the day going through them; stay tuned both here and on our facebook page to see more.

Enjoy your day,
Joel Coleman…

Awesome shots Joel. I actually saw the helicopter this morning around 7 while taking photos from Queensie and was thinking what a great view those guys must have.
