I suspect a combination of a little too much Christmas cheer and a cloudy Monday morning… When I got to the beach a little before six there was no one in the water. Not a surfboard in sight. The strange thing was there were waves on offer. Nothing special, but waves are waves and at this time of year un-crowded waves are gold no matter what shape they take. Eventually a few guys showed up and paddled out to enjoy a few wobbly but fun rides…
