The CWSB…
May 12th, 2011
So today was a driving day. We are venturing further towards the southern part of Chile in the hunt for more waves and isolated point breaks. We chose today to drive as it was showing as the smallest day on the swell charts. We still surfed this morning and, as it turned out, it was probably the best session we have had so far with perfectly glassy, three to four foot peelers running down the point. We had to share the waves between five of us, plenty to go around!… Opting to take the coastal and country roads, rather than the highway, allowed us to check some of the amazing scenery and stop at some cool little towns along the way… We will check a few spots in the morning, near where we are staying, possibly get an early session in then head further down the coast. Right now the crew is sitting around by the fireplace, sipping hot chocolates, playing a whole bunch of different instruments and coming up with the words to the “Cold Water Surf Blues.” A damn good laugh and I can’t wait to get to the next perfect left hand point break tomorrow, or possibly the next day!…
Enjoy your day,
Joel Coleman…
