Last night Sydney took a fair beating from a storm. Powerful winds, thunder, lightning, howling dogs and heavy rain made for an impressive show. I am sure there are a few clean up crews being kept busy this morning. There was a brief period of offshore wind early on, which did clean up the shoulder high NE swell. Unfortunately it did not last too long before swinging onshore. Add to that a lack of water over the banks from the early low tide and disappointingly most of the set waves ended in a close out. Still if you were willing to wait a bit there were some reasonable sections to throw a turn or two. The weather is looking kind of changeable again today so if you keep an eye on conditions there may be some brief periods where the winds swing offshore again.
Today’s update was a little late due to some internet gremlins! Tech support said something about chipmunks nibbling through the fiberoptic cables – yeah yeah…
Enjoy your day,
Joel Coleman…
