My alarm decided not to go off this morning, I don’t know why, it just didn’t. Any way when I did get down to the beach at around 7:15 someone stopped me and said “did you see the sunrise? It was like a misty fireball!…” yeah yeah.. Any way I was getting a few shots of the North Steyne crew when I saw a wave a little further south on a bank that only had three people on it. I missed the takeoff but the resulting barrel was one of the best I have seen in a while, perfectly positioned inside for five frames then popped out clean! I have put the whole 12 frame sequence up below…
