“Mare Pacificum”

morning light in the shorebreak…

The Pacific Ocean’s name is derived from the Latin name Mare Pacificum, “peaceful sea.” And at the moment that is 100% accurate!… I went for a swim this morning and took a few photos in the shorebreak. I am still trying to warm up! Don’t let the blue sky and sunshine fool you, that westerly wind that is keeping the swell down packs a frosty punch! There are waves coming so be patient and keep an eye on the “peaceful sea.”
