There are some reasonable looking waves about, lunchtime at North Steyne

There was not a lot of action on the beach this morning for the early surf. Instead I went along to the launch of the WIRES campaign to lobby NSW politicians to stop the legalised shooting of the Grey Headed Flying Fox. You can visit the website and sign a petition (here). On the way home I stopped off and noticed a reasonable looking left and right coming though at North Steyne, so perhaps an afternoon surf could be on the agenda.

Look out for these crosses hanging in trees around the city to help raise awareness for the grey headed flying fox.
